You Missed a Big One
As
you say, there is a lot that's right with the United States, but
there is also a lot that desperately needs changing -- if we can
just wrestle the country away from the our corporate sponsored
politicians.

According to the United Nation Children's Fund as reported by "USA Today" (Feb. 15, 2007) the United States now ranks dead last among the 21 richest nations in the health and safety of its children, as measured by infant mortality and low birth rate, immunization, and deaths from accidents and injuries.
...Our politicians continue to funnel billions of dollars from the public treasury to favored corporations for overpriced, unneeded, and often questionable purposes at the expense of the health, education, and welfare of the nation's future citizens.
