Evolution vs. Creationism
The only way some people can win an argument is to twist their opponent's view to such an extent that any fool would have to reject it.
As I listen to some of the talk radio attacks on evolution I'm amazed how little credible information these people have -- or maybe choose to have.
In listening to these people I heard:
1. Evolutionists believe that we descended from monkeys.
2. Evolutionists believe that the origins of life are accidental, just some sort of a random coming together of molecules.
This is like assuming that a tornado in a junkyard could assemble a 747. But this is the kind of nonsense that some people are trying to attribute to evolutionists.
Quite in contrast, there is a ton of evidence from DNA, fossils, computer simulations, etc., makes it clear that...
...during millions of years the various and separate branches of the specie tree came into being through inevitable DNA aberrations which gave them a survival advantage.
Although the list of erroneous views goes on and on, I'll add just one more.
3. Evolutionists hold to their view because they want to promote atheism.
Actually, many evolutionists believe in God...
...but not a God that brought everything into being in seven days a few thousand years ago.
To believe that you would have to turn your back on a mountain of very solid evidence to the contrary.
Plus, whose to say that God, for whom time is irrelevant, didn't chose to bring His creation into being through an evolutionary process?
Unfortunately, the emotional radio talk show and religious misinformation has so affected people that many teachers are afraid to teach evolution in their classes...
...out of fear that parents will raise hell about exposing their kids "ungodly theories."
This, of course, means that the new generations are apt to be just as misinformed as their parents.
This kind of thinking clearly debases the inherent intelligent design in evolution.
A 34-nation study found Americans less likely to believe in evolution than citizens of any country except Turkey.
The former President "W" Bush is the only Western leader known of who doesn’t believe in evolution, saying 'the jury is still out.'

t should be noted that a smaller percentage of students who attend "creationist schools" go to college. One of the reasons is that students who are primarily exposed to the creationist view (now going under several names) appear to be at a disadvantage on college entrance exams.
