JavaScript and Browsers
JavaScript is commonly included in web pages to initiate special features. In most browsers this feature is turned on by default and thus
is automatic.
However, Microsoft's Internet Explorer, which has far more than its share of malicious hacker attacks, may have scripts or activeX controls turned off and issue a warning before it can be turned on.
Although it's a matter of personal choice, right now Firefox is recommended for both the Windows and Mac platforms. The updated version of Safari that comes with the Apple's Leopard operating systems is also recommended.
The helpful AnswerTips™ feature requires an Internet connection and won't appear in Opera browsers or versions of Safari older than 3.0.
